Originally from Tennessee, our speaker grew up in Southern Oklahoma as the son of a community banker. While very active in a number of organizations in his hometown as young man, Scott is most proud of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout – an experience he notes as the most important leadership training he’s ever encountered.
He went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Commercial Bank Management. A self-described “Recovering Financial Adviser”, our presenter now travels regularly around the country as a corporate trainer and speaker sharing with audiences his take on success and leadership.
Somewhere along the way, he managed to write a book -Powerful People Overcome Powerful Failures, served in officer posts of several community oriented organizations in the Tulsa area, and, in 2006, he was recognized by the Tulsa Police Department and received a nomination for the Carnegie Hero Fund Award for his role in assisting the rescue of a man from a burning apartment building.
He’s a dog lover, is active with his church, enjoys craft-brewed beers, and is happy to cook for groups of all sizes – you’ll have to ask him about his “Cowboy Wok”!
